Meet the Family: Dennisse

It's Meet the Family Friday! Today, we spotlight a recent Upward Scholars alum—Dennisse.

Dennisse is a Salvadoran immigrant who earned an AA for Transfer in Social Work and Human Services from Cañada College last spring. She says, "Upward Scholars is a huge part of my success. Your support helped me focus and improve in all my classes. I am so honored to be part of this awesome family. A BIG thanks to the staff and donors who really impacted my life."

Dennisse is thrilled to transfer to San Jose State University this Fall and plans to study Social Work and Community Change. "In the future I picture myself working with and advocating for my Latinx community. I want to support and provide them the tools and resources they need, just like Upward Scholars did for me."
