About Us

Mary Padilla
AmeriCorps VISTA Fellow

Ms. Padilla graduated from the University of California, Davis, in March 2023 with a B.A. in International Relations, a B.A. in Gender, Sexuality, and Women’s Studies, and a minor in Human Rights Studies. Through her studies and lived experiences, Mary was deeply aware of the inequities and injustices built into the United States’ systems and institutions. She is committed to working toward dismantling these systems and towards the creation of a more equitable and inclusive future for all. She is excited to work alongside Upwards Scholars as an AmeriCorps VISTA Fellow to help expand our mission, work, and resources into Northern Alameda.
