Kainat Khan
East Bay Student Intern
Mrs. Khan was born in Pakistan and immigrated to the United States with her husband in 2015. Eager to learn and knowing she needed to master the language, she began English as a Second Language courses at Berkeley Adult School. Once completed, Kainat set her sights on obtaining a GED, which she did in 2019. Shortly after that, she began her higher education journey at Berkeley City College but paused her studies to welcome and raise her two children. In 2023, she restarted her college education and is pursuing an associate degree in child development at Merritt College. Ms. Khan is passionate about the power of education and wants to help and support immigrants and low-income families in continuing their studies, too.
