Diana Viscarra
Programs Director
Ms. Viscarra has been an Upward Scholars student since the fall of 2014. She is so thankful to her community for all the support they gave her during her time at community college because this allowed her to go beyond learning English. In the spring of 2019, she received an Associate degree in Paralegal Studies, and in the spring of 2020, she earned an Associate degree for Transfer in Political Science from Cañada College. Diana graduated from San Francisco State University in 2022 with a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science. She continues helping her Upward Scholars peers and the immigrant community move up the economic ladder to get better opportunities for themselves and their families. As Upward Scholars’ Programs Director, she leads the four pillars of programmatic support.
