David Moore
Originally from the UK, Mr. Moore relocated to the Bay Area in late 2010. He is a career people and recruiting leader with more than 25 years of experience, primarily in the tech industry. He is currently the head of global talent acquisition at Box—the cloud content management company headquartered in Redwood City. Having started his career in London, he then spent the next decade in the Asia Pacific region where he joined a pre-iPhone Apple in 2006 in Singapore. Following his move to California, he has supported hiring across the Americas for Apple and Google, including projects in Mexico, Chile, Colombia, and Brazil. Since joining Box in 2018, he has focused on everything from international expansion and workforce strategies to employment branding and diverse hiring practices. David is married to Sarah, who works for another education-focused nonprofit—YMCA Project Cornerstone—and he has two teenage daughters in local schools. He is the Chair of the Talent & Culture Committee and serves on the Board Governance Committee at Upward Scholars.
