Beth Harrison

After volunteering as an Upward Scholars tutor for five years, Ms. Harrison joined the Upward Scholars Board to help the organization continue to thrive and expand its mission. Currently an independent educational consultant, she has taught creative writing, composition, and literature at several colleges around the country, including the College of San Mateo. A strong advocate for youth and education, Beth founded and directed a creative writing camp for local youth for 15 years. She has also worked with several nonprofits as a volunteer and committee chair. At Upward Scholars, Beth is the Board Secretary and serves on the Board Governance Committee.
